Hindi Market ang Kalaban — Puso Natin: SDA Discipline Reflections

Board Lot Warrior › Subok sa Puso Hindi Lang Strategy Series ›SDA Reflections

Illustration of a candlestick chart descending diagonally with a human head silhouette showing a heart-shaped emotional overlay, symbolizing how emotions influence stock trading decisions under the SDA Strategy.
SDA trading is simple on paper—buy at deep discounts, sell at strong rebounds—but today proved that the real battle is not with the market, but with our own impulses.

“The market is not the enemy. Your emotions are.”

  • Buy at –5% or deeper.

  • Sell at +12% or higher.

Walang komplikasyon. Walang speculation. Walang guesswork.

What We Did Today — And What It Revealed

Let’s be completely honest with ourselves.

Today, we:

  • sold at +2% instead of +12%

  • bought at –1.5% instead of –5%

1. We Reacted to Noise, Not the Cycle

“Uy, profit! Baka bumalik, kunin na natin.”

This wasn’t greed.
It was fear of losing what is momentarily there, kahit hindi pa siya part ng tunay nating target.

This wasn’t recklessness.
It was fear of missing a small discount.

Parehong emosyon ang nag-produce ng parehong error:
reaction instead of discipline.

2. We Felt FOMO in Both Directions

Normally iniisip ng marami na FOMO is fear of missing upside.

Pero sa totoo lang, FOMO has two faces:

  • fear of missing profits

  • fear of missing dips

At pareho itong lumabas today.

Selling early at +2%
Buying early at –1.5%

3. We Don’t Fully Trust the System Yet — And That’s Normal

Every new system demands psychological calibration.

Alam natin ang rules.
Alam natin ang logic.
Alam natin ang benefits.

Pero sa mga unang linggo ng SDA:

  • we doubt

  • we hesitate

  • we overreact

  • we micro-manage

  • we try to “help” the system kahit hindi kailangan

This wasn’t a lack of intelligence — it was a momentary emotional override.
This is human nature adjusting to a mechanical structure.

And it’s a normal part of the Subok ng Puso journey.

Did We Harm the Portfolio?

Hindi.

Zero structural harm.
Zero disaster.
Zero irreversible loss.

What we created were two small opportunity costs:

  1. Profit ceiling was reduced

  2. Cost basis was slightly increased

Pero walang nasirang plan.
Walang nasirang foundation.

The SDA architecture remains solid.

What happened today was not a portfolio failure —
it was an emotional test.

The Real Lesson: Emotions Are Harder Than Charts

Charts are predictable.
Strategies are predictable.
Cycles are predictable.

  • To trust a long-term system

  • To detach from micro-fluctuations

  • To stay calm kahit may konting green or konting red

  • To delay impulses

  • To allow the plan to work without interference

Today proves that:

The hardest part of SDA is not the math — it’s managing our heart.

Islamic Reflection: This Was Not Sin — It Was Nafs Training

Walang riba dito.
Walang haram activity.
Walang moral failure.

Ang struggle natin today is not spiritual sinning —
it is nafs discipline, a core Islamic principle.

SDA, at its heart, is:

  • patience (ṣabr)

  • trust (tawakkul)

  • discipline (adab sa pera)

  • stewardship (amanah)

When we buy too early or sell too early,
hindi tayo nagiging masama —
we’re simply being tested on how we manage fear and desire.

And as long as we correct ourselves…
the barakah remains open.

So What Happens Now?

Simple lang:

  • We learn.

  • We refine.

  • We recommit.

  • We continue with clarity.

Hindi ito palpak.
Hindi ito setback.
Hindi ito broken system.

This is data,
this is awareness,
this is growth,
and this is subok ng puso.

A necessary part of becoming disciplined, halal-aligned long-term traders.

Final Reflection

What we gained today is far more valuable than the few pesos na na-leak sa timing errors.

We gained:

  • awareness

  • humility

  • discipline insight

  • emotional mapping

  • system trust

  • spiritual grounding

At higit sa lahat—

na-realize natin na ang market is not the battlefield.
Tayo ang battlefield.

And that makes today
a powerful victory disguised as a small mistake.
