ICT Strategic Deep Averaging (SDA) Gone Wrong?

Home › Board Lot Warrior › Micro Harvesting › Strategic Deep Averaging › ICT Trading Journal

May refill ladder kami, may anchor price, at may nakahandang exit phases.

SukatanResulta
Natitirang shares970
Average price, net₱877.3735
Unrealized loss−₱64,108.05
Unrealized profit/loss percentage−7.53%
Realized loss−₱1,277.28
Pinagsamang realized at unrealized loss−₱65,385.33

Layer 1Anchor price at pataas₱944.1910
Layer 2−5%₱896.50300
Layer 3−10%₱849.50680
Layer 4−15%₱802.50220
Total1,210

ICT SDA gone wrong?

May dalawang definite goals kami ngayong October 2026.

Our Method: Ibinabalik Namin ang MAPA

Sa CSSC Module 11, pinag-aralan namin ang investor life cycle: accumulation, consolidation, at spending or gifting phase.

Dito namin mas naunawaan ang aming sariling sitwasyon.

Liquidity, Risk Tolerance, at Risk Capacity

TanongKahulugan
Kaya ba naming tiisin ang pagbaba?Willingness to take risk
Ability to take risk

Forty Markers, Selective Capital Deployment

“Our Journey So Far” as Our Feedback Loop

Journey: Mula May accumulation hanggang September harvest

Method: Paano namin itinakda ang anchor

Transaction DateSharesNet Acquisition Cost
May 6, 2026100₱2,753.10
June 26, 2026100₱2,346.90
June 30, 2026100₱2,286.73
June 30, 2026100₱2,296.76
July 23, 2026100₱2,221.53
Total500₱11,905.02

Anchor price = ₱11,905.02 ÷ 500 = ₱23.81004, rounded to ₱23.8100.

Refill LayerGross Purchase Price RangeShares Bought
Layer 1₱22.65 and over400
Layer 2₱21.45–₱22.60100
Layer 3₱20.25–₱21.400
Layer 4₱19.05–₱20.20500
Layer 5₱19.00 and under1,500
Total2,500

Average net cost = ₱48,460.54 ÷ 2,500 = ₱19.3842 bawat share.

Harvest planning: Ang original price zones

Harvest ZonePlanned Gross Selling Price Range
Phase 1₱25.25–₱26.65
Phase 2₱26.70–₱28.05
Phase 3₱28.10–₱29.50
Phase 4₱29.55–₱30.95
Phase 5₱31.00–₱32.35

Ang pangunahing exit trigger: Above the upper Bollinger band

SCC daily chart with two SELL arrows at the September price surge above the upper Bollinger band and a displayed October closing price of ₱13.40.

Full harvest during September strength, triggered by the move above the upper Bollinger band, before reaching the original SDA harvest zones.

Record: Ang income statement

Investment Income and ExpensesAmount% of Gross Proceeds
Gross Proceeds from Sale of Investments₱50,878.00100.00%
Less: Cost of Investments Sold(₱48,460.54)95.25%
Gross Trading Profit₱2,417.464.75%
Dividend Income——
Less: Selling Fees and Taxes(₱200.97)0.40%
Net Realized Gain₱2,216.494.36%
Net Income₱2,216.494.36%

October 2 follow-up: Ang chart pagkatapos ng harvest

Reflection: SDA structure, technical timing, at judgment

📘 SDA System Development Log — Entry #05

Date: December 10, 2025
Fund: SDA Mastery Fund (₱35,000 Reset Ladder)
Stock: URC
Strategy: Strategic Deep Averaging (Down-Cycle Variant)
Cycle Position: Late Stabilization → Early Accumulation

1. Quick Recap of Our Position Before Today

As of December 5, our position stood as follows:

  • Layer 1 — 110 shares fully filled @ ₱63.30

  • Layer 2 — 50 shares filled across ₱61.90–₱61.70

  • GTC Orders Active — remaining orders set for deeper contacts

The plan remained unchanged: wait patiently for the market to offer natural dips.

2. Today’s Execution — December 10, 2025

The market delivered another clean SDA trigger today.

🔥 Triggered Today:

  • 10 shares @ ₱61.50 — filled via GTC order

This adds depth to our Layer 2 position, bringing us closer to completing the second layer of the reset ladder.

📌 Remaining Active GTC Orders:

  • 50 shares @ ₱59.95

  • Valid until February 1, 2026

These orders remain perfectly positioned inside the deepest boundary of Layer 2.

3. Updated Layer 2 Status

📍 Newly Filled Today:

10 shares @ ₱61.50

📍 Total Layer 2 Shares Filled:

60 shares (out of 110 target)

📍 Accumulation Range:

₱61.50–₱61.90

📍 Pending Orders:

50 shares @ ₱59.95

Slow, rule-based accumulation continues — the essence of SDA.

4. System Insight — Controlled Drift, Controlled Execution

Today’s fill confirms ongoing downcycle behavior:

  • URC continues to press into deeper liquidity

  • Price behavior remains orderly, compressive, and controlled

  • No signs of panic selling

  • The ladder is capturing discounts efficiently

This is SDA at work:
entries without emotion, triggered purely by prepared positioning.

5. Status Summary (as of December 10, 2025)

Layer 1

✔ Fully filled — 110 shares @ ₱63.30

Layer 2

✔ 60/110 shares filled
⏳ 50 shares pending @ ₱59.95
📌 Range: Deep edge of Layer 2 zone

URC remains in a quiet drift, consistent with late-stage downcycle behavior prior to stabilization or shakeout.

6. Reflection

Today reinforces the value of a rule-based system over manual prediction.

We didn’t know when the price would tag ₱61.50 — but the ladder knew what to do.
Our job was simply to be positioned and patient.

We continue to progress toward completing Layer 2, one disciplined step at a time.

📗 End of SDA System Development Log — Entry #05

📌 Shariah Compliance Advisory (Updated Nov 26, 2025)

The PSE has confirmed that its Shariah screening program is currently paused, with no new lists to be released until their internal review is completed. Although news outlets reported quarterly updates up to mid-2025, these later lists are no longer accessible on the PSE website.

For now, the PSE’s Shariah-Compliant Securities page and all past lists have been removed from the public website. The December 24, 2024 list is the last official version in Micro Stock Trader’s possession, downloaded before the page was taken down, although other investors may still hold later copies such as the reported July 4, 2025 release.

All halal-focused strategies under Micro Stock Trader will use a conservative, self-screened approach until official guidance resumes, in shā’ Allāh.

Fund: SDA Mastery Fund (₱35,000 Reset Ladder)
Stock: URC
Strategy: Strategic Deep Averaging (Down-Cycle Variant)
Cycle Position: Late Stabilization → Early Accumulation

1. Review of Our Position Coming Into Today

Triggered last December 3:

We executed our system exactly as planned:

  • On Activated Layer 1 using an Off-Hour Order for 110 shares @ ₱63.30, triggered at the open.

  • Price dipped to ₱62.35 and closed at ₱62.50.

  • Despite feeling some disappointment about missing the deeper discount, we stayed true to the plan.

Triggered yesterday (Dec 4):

Yesterday, December 4, we also began activating Layer 2 through a series of staggered GTC orders.

  • 10 shares @ ₱61.90

  • 10 shares @ ₱61.85

  • 10 shares @ ₱61.80

These gave us our first 30 shares for Layer 2.

2. Today’s Execution — December 5, 2025 (Closing Price: ₱62.00)

Today continued the refinement of our SDA discipline.
We allowed the price to drift naturally into our ladder without emotional adjustments.

Triggered today (Dec 5):

  • 10 shares @ ₱61.75

  • 10 shares @ ₱61.70

Active GTC Orders (valid until Feb 1, 2026):

  • 10 shares @ ₱61.50 — active

  • 50 shares @ ₱59.95 — active

These orders remain positioned strategically inside the Layer 2 zone.

15-minute chart of Universal Robina Corporation (URC) as of December 5, 2025, showing a controlled intraday downtrend with a minor shakeout, price interaction near ₱61.70–₱61.90, and candles moving below the 8, 20, 50, and 200 moving averages.

A minor intraday shakeout also appeared today in the 15-minute chart, which is common when a stock presses deeper into a liquidity pocket. Our ladder captured it smoothly.

3. Updated Layer 2 Status

Total Filled:

50 shares (out of 110 target)

Pending:

60 shares (active GTC orders)

Layer 2 remains partially complete, and the system is in perfect position for continuation dips.

4. System Insight — “Let the Market Come to Us”

Today reinforced a key SDA lesson:

  • The deepest discounts are not captured by prediction,

  • but by pre-positioned orders allowed to work over time.

We are seeing:

  • Early stabilization behaviors

  • Smaller candles and tighter ranges

  • Micro shakeouts

  • Controlled drift toward deeper ladder zones

The system is functioning exactly as designed.

5. Status Summary (as of Dec 5, 2025)

Layer 1

✔ Fully filled — 110 shares @ ₱63.30

Layer 2

✔ 50 shares filled
⏳ 60 shares pending
📍 Layer Range: ₱61.90–₱59.95

Daily chart of Universal Robina Corporation (URC) as of December 5, 2025, showing sustained downtrend, lower-volume stabilization, and price closing at ₱62.00 below the 8, 20, 50, and 200 moving averages.

URC closed at ₱62.00, maintaining the drift and signaling continued Layer 2 opportunities.

6. Reflection

This entry marks another important milestone in SDA mastery:
patience without passivity.

We are positioned, waiting, and letting price come to us.
Today’s fills reinforce that the system works when we release emotional control and allow the ladder to function.

The Seven-Step SDA Workflow: Clear, Repeatable, and Discipline-First

Seven-Step SDA Workflow — Islamic Green & Gold Cycle Diagram
Ito ang lumitaw na totoong workflow natin after refining our Strategic Deep Averaging (SDA) execution. No hype, no emotion—just a clean, mechanical system grounded in discipline and Shariah-aligned portfolio structure.

1️⃣ Chart Snapshot

The chart highlights URC’s sustained downtrend, declining moving averages, and price closing near ₱62 in late 2025.

2️⃣ The Seven-Step SDA Workflow

Below is the official, cleaned-up version of our SDA execution steps—refined, sequential, and ready for the Rulebook.

1. Select the Thematic Portfolio and the Shariah-Compliant Stock

Every SDA cycle begins with alignment, both structural and ethical.
Thematic portfolio first → stock selection second.
This ensures proper capital segregation and Shariah integrity.

2. Decide the Capital Allocation for the Stock

Before looking at charts, we decide the exact capital dedicated to this SDA cycle.
This builds discipline, prevents emotional top-ups, and enforces portfolio boundaries.

3. Set the Number of Layers to Be Activated

Here, the system becomes a machine.

  • 2-Layer micro cycle?

  • 5-Layer balanced cycle?

  • 10-Layer deep cycle?

The number of layers determines the tempo of the trade.

4. Determine the Anchor Price + Compute the Accumulation & Exit Ladders

The Anchor Price is the soul of SDA.

From this price, we compute:

  • Accumulation Ladder

  • Exit Ladder

  • Target UPL (Unrealized Profit & Loss) Zones

  • SDA Upper/Lower Limits

  • Thresholds for revising ladders

This creates the full SDA roadmap.

5. Place Laddered GTC Orders Within the Layer Range

This is where trading becomes mechanical.
All buy/sell ladders are placed ahead of time.

When the market dips → accumulates me.
When the market bounces → exits me.

No chasing.
No panic.
No impulse trades.

6. Wait for Paint to Dry — Let the GTCs Do the Work

The market now works for us.
This is the discipline phase—
zero micromanaging, zero overthinking.

A true SDA cycle is patient, steady, and unemotional.

7. Update Ladders Only If Triggered by Revision Rules

SDA updates ONLY when:

  • Anchor Price officially changes

  • Time-based reset rules activate

  • Unrealized P/L thresholds are breached

  • A cycle moves to a new stage

  • Smart Rebalancing is required

No emotional decisions.
Only system-driven adjustments.

The Seven-Step SDA Workflow solves:

  • overthinking

  • emotional averaging

  • random entries

  • inconsistent exits

And replaces them with:

  • structure

  • rhythm

  • patience

  • Shariah discipline

4️⃣ Next Steps (Tactical Plan | LIVE)

● Integrate this workflow into all future SDA System Development Log entries.
● Update the Rulebook (2025 Edition) to include this workflow as the canonical SDA Cycle Foundation.
● Create visual infographics for quick reference.
● Apply this workflow consistently for URC, MONDE, RFM, WLCON, and others.

5️⃣ Updated Layered Accumulation Plan

Islamic-green SDA Accumulation Ladder for URC showing five buy layers and the ₱35,000 Mastery Fund structure, illustrated with a trader reviewing the plan.
The brand-new SDA Accumulation Ladder built specifically for our fresh ₱35,000 capital. This ladder will follow URC all the way down using a new anchor at ₱63.30, with five equal layers that fire only when their exact price zones are reached. No combining layers, no over-sizing, and no emotional shortcuts—this is pure, textbook SDA execution. Below is the official accumulation ladder of the URC SDA Mastery Fund — Phase 1.

6️⃣ Updated Phased Exit Plan

A structured SDA Exit Ladder table for the URC SDA Mastery Fund (Phase 1), showing columns for Exit Phase, Price Range, and Shares Sold. The layout is minimalist, with a gray header and black table body, designed to visualize phased selling levels in the SDA strategy.
A clean visual summary of the URC SDA Mastery Fund’s Phase 1 exit structure, showing how shares will be sold systematically based on predefined price ranges. This ladder keeps the entire exit process disciplined, mechanical, and aligned with SDA rules.

7️⃣ Final Trade Recommendation

This post is workflow-level, not stock-specific.
So the final recommendation is structural:

Final Trade Recommendation: FOLLOW THE WORKFLOW
✅ Recommendation: Always follow the Seven-Step SDA Workflow before placing any SDA layer.
✅ Risk Management: Never modify orders unless a Revision Rule is triggered.
✅ Profit-Taking Strategy: Use pre-computed exit ladders only.
✅ Position Size Strategy: Respect capital allocation per stock, no spontaneous adds.

8️⃣ Closing Reflection

discipline is not found during the trade — it is built before the trade.
The Seven-Step Workflow is our structure, our guardrail, and our protection from emotional decisions.

9️⃣ Tactical Alert

A Rulebook-level alert will be created:

“All SDA posts must reference the Seven-Step SDA Workflow starting today.”
