Visual representation of the Steady-State Harvest Concept, illustrating sustainable, repeatable harvesting where capital growth and withdrawals remain in long-term balance.📘 Steady-State Harvest Concept
Policy Name: Steady-State Harvest Concept
Version: v1.0
Status: ✅ LOCKED
Effective Date: December 21, 2025
Applies To: Micro Harvesting Portfolio (portfolio-level operating state)
1. Purpose
This concept defines the intended operating condition of the Micro Harvesting portfolio once governance, structure, and execution rules are fully in place.
Its objectives are to:
Establish a sustainable, low-friction operating mode
Reduce decision fatigue and reactive behavior
Prioritize consistency over acceleration
Enable compounding through repetition, not intensity
Preserve capital, attention, and psychological bandwidth
Steady-State is not a market phase. It is a portfolio posture.
2. Definition of Steady-State Harvest
Steady-State Harvest is defined as:
A condition in which the portfolio generates regular, rule-compliant harvests while requiring minimal intervention, minimal decision-making, and no urgency to expand.
In Steady-State:
Most actions are routine
Most days require no action
Performance emerges quietly over time
3. Characteristics of a Steady-State Portfolio
A portfolio operating in Steady-State exhibits the following:
Stable deployment within defined bands
Level distribution that changes slowly
Harvests executed mechanically under policy
SUNSET capital contained and immaterial
RTS activity sufficient but not excessive
Boredom is a signal of health, not stagnation.
4. What Steady-State Is Not
Steady-State is not:
A growth-maximization phase
A signal to increase trade frequency
A period of inactivity or neglect
A suspension of governance rules
A guarantee of short-term performance
Steady-State emphasizes durability, not excitement.
5. Entry Conditions Into Steady-State
The portfolio may be considered in Steady-State when:
Governance pages are locked and enforced
Deployment remains within target ranges without pressure
Level 6 concentration is within limits
Harvesting Policy operates without frequent exceptions
SUNSET and buffer capital are contained
No formal declaration is required.
Steady-State is observed, not announced.
6. Operating Rules During Steady-State
While in Steady-State:
New rules are not introduced casually
Capital expansion is deliberate and slow
Promotions and demotions are rare and evidence-based
Most changes occur only at quarter-end
Inaction is treated as compliance
Stability takes precedence over novelty.
7. Interaction With Harvesting Policy
Steady-State does not alter harvesting thresholds.
Instead, it reinforces:
Patience in waiting for valid harvests
Acceptance of fewer but cleaner executions
Resistance to sub-threshold profit-taking
Harvesting remains mechanical and unchanged.
8. Interaction With Capital Growth
Capital additions during Steady-State:
Are incremental, not reactive
Do not force new positions
Respect existing structural and concentration limits
Growth that destabilizes Steady-State is deferred, not pursued.
9. Behavioral Safeguards
The portfolio manager shall not:
Disrupt Steady-State due to boredom
Increase activity to “feel productive”
Redefine rules to create excitement
Treat calm periods as underperformance
Calm is the operating environment where errors are least likely.
10. Meta-Rule
When the system feels boring,
it is usually working as intended.
