Policy Name: SUNSET Dashboard Treatment Rule
Version: v1.0
Status: ✅ LOCKED
Effective Date: December 21, 2025
Applies To: Micro Harvesting Portfolio (dashboard design, reporting, and interpretation)
1. Purpose
This rule governs how SUNSET-classified stocks are represented on dashboards, ensuring neutrality, clarity, and the absence of operational noise.
Its objectives are to:
-
Preserve the neutrality of SUNSET decisions
-
Prevent reactivation pressure through visual exposure
-
Maintain a clean separation between active and inactive capital
-
Standardize reporting treatment across all dashboards
-
Eliminate metric-driven emotional bias
SUNSET visibility exists for governance, not execution.
2. Definition of SUNSET Dashboard Treatment
SUNSET Dashboard Treatment is defined as:
The standardized method by which SUNSET-related information is displayed exclusively at the portfolio level and excluded from all active operational metrics.
SUNSET is reported, not managed.
3. Governing Principles (Non-Negotiable)
-
SUNSET data is informational only.
-
SUNSET data must not influence trading behavior.
-
SUNSET visibility must be minimal but auditable.
-
Aggregation reduces noise; granularity invites bias.
-
Silence after SUNSET is compliance.
4. Mandatory Dashboard Rules
The following rules are mandatory for all Micro Harvesting dashboards:
4.1 Portfolio-Level Aggregation Only
-
SUNSET metrics shall appear only in the portfolio summary row
-
Required fields:
-
SUNSET Stock Count
-
SUNSET Total Capital
-
No per-stock SUNSET breakdown is permitted.
4.2 Exclusion From Active Metrics
SUNSET positions shall be excluded from:
-
Deployed capital calculations
-
Deployment percentage
-
DHER
-
Harvest velocity metrics
-
Level and concentration computations
-
RTS reporting
SUNSET capital is non-operational.
4.3 Visual Neutrality
-
No conditional formatting, alerts, or emphasis
-
No color coding tied to P/L or change
-
No trendlines, sparklines, or momentum indicators
SUNSET must remain visually quiet.
5. Treatment of Residual Capital
Residual capital associated with SUNSET (e.g., small realized gains or accounting remnants):
-
Shall be included only in SUNSET Total Capital
-
Shall not be reclassified as active cash by default
-
Shall not be used to justify redeployment urgency
Residual outcomes do not alter SUNSET status.
6. Prohibited Dashboard Practices
The portfolio manager shall not:
-
Display SUNSET stocks alongside active positions
-
Highlight SUNSET P/L to influence sentiment
-
Track SUNSET performance trends
-
Use SUNSET rows as “watchlists”
-
Introduce per-stock SUNSET columns
Any such practice constitutes governance erosion.
7. Relationship to Other Governance Protocols
This rule operates in conjunction with:
-
SUNSET Governance Protocol v1.0
-
SUNSET Reactivation Protocol v1.0
-
Removal Is Neutral Principle
-
Dashboard II — Governance Baseline Definition
-
Quarterly Reset & Capital Containment Rule
In case of conflict:
-
SUNSET governance rules supersede dashboard presentation preferences.
8. Behavioral Safeguards
The portfolio manager shall:
-
Treat SUNSET metrics as closed-state indicators
-
Avoid revisiting SUNSET decisions during routine reviews
-
Act only if containment thresholds are breached
If SUNSET metrics are compliant, no action is correct.
9. Meta-Rule
If SUNSET is quiet on the dashboard,
governance is working.
